The “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” initiative, inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Punjab, is on providing inexpensive housing throughout the province.

This initiative aims to provide 100,000 low-cost homes and apartments for eligible people, considerably improving Punjab’s housing sector.

The program aims to enable low-income families who are currently living in rented housing or informal settlements buy their own homes.

Over the next four and a half years, 100,000 affordable housing units will be built using three alternative execution strategies.

Eligibility Criteria for Interest Free Home Loan

Here is the eligibility criteria for the housing scheme, reorganized and rephrased:

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab as indicated by their CNIC.

The applicant must be listed as the head of their immediate family (nuclear family) according to NADRA records.

The applicant must own a parcel of land measuring 5 Marla or less in urban areas, or up to 10 Marla in rural areas, within Punjab, where they intend to construct their home. This ownership must be in place at the time of submitting the online application.

The applicant must have no criminal record, including convictions for anti-state, anti-social activities, or other serious crimes.

The applicant must not be a loan defaulter with any bank or financial institution.

The applicant must be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and belong to a household with a PMT score of 60 or less.
